Constructed in flint with brick dressings and tiled roofs, the building sits within a consistent local material language.
The arrangement is rebalanced by adding accommodation at upper level, allowing living space to expand at ground floor.
A new extension is introduced as a curved form in plan, aligning with the geometry of the existing towers.
The upper level projects outward, forming a cantilever supported on a brick arch. A corresponding arch is cut into the existing structure below.
The offset between upper and lower levels forms a sheltered external space.
Internally, the curved geometry continues in plan and ceiling, defining the dining space.
Materials follow the existing fabric — brick, flint and tile — matched and extended.
The intervention reads as continuous with the existing, while remaining of its time.
